MOH UAE
Exam Application

The Ministry of Health and Prevention of the United Arab Emirate, or MOH & Prevention, is the primary governmental body in charge of protecting and promoting the health of the people of the UAE.

The MOH & Prevention oversees a broad range of activities, including providing healthcare services, promoting integrated disease prevention programs, supervising, and regulating all medical and paramedical schools, and appointing healthcare professionals to work in varying healthcare sectors within the UAE and many more.

Foreign medical professionals interested in working in the UAE must take the MOH medical license exam. Prometric carries out this assessment examination, and it applies to all physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, midwives, and medical lab technicians.

Passing the MOH exam will ensure their licensure and allows them to practice in all five (5) Emirates of UAE, except for Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE MOH EXAM?

The whole MOH exam application process would take two (2) to three (3) months. Therefore, it is advisable to process your MOH exam application two (2) months before your preferred exam date.

The MOH & Prevention of UAE conducts four (4) or five (5) examinations every year. However, an applicant can only attend the MOH exam three (3) times in their lifetime.

Typically, the MOH medical license exam application process consists of three (3) phases.

Submission of the Initial Requirements

The first step of the MOH licensure exam application is checking whether the applicant has procured all the requirements needed per the Personal Qualification Requirements. In addition, details including the experience requirements and registration are looked over during the phase. Generally, this stage takes up to one week.

Dataflow Application

The dataflow application process is a thorough background screening of the applicants’ documents, and the Primary Source Verification or PSV executes it. During this phase, the authenticity of the submitted personal or professional credentials is examined from the source that issued them.

Ensure that the information you provide is genuine and accurate. Any irregularities could cause the applicants’ MOH application to be delayed.

Exam Scheduling

After completing the previous phases, the applicant has the approval to take the MOH exam. The MOH & Prevention of UAE provides the examination dates, and the applicant can choose which date to take the MOH exam accordingly.

Read the MOH test patterns and review the topics that may appear on the exam. Numerous printed books and online reviewers are available for you to use when preparing for the exam.

Once done with the MOH examination, results will be available online, but there will be no available scores as proof. The exam results will only show if a candidate has passed or failed.

Proof of Passing Requisition

After passing the exam, the candidate can now request eligibility as proof of passing the MOH examination, the requisition of Prof Credentialing Evaluation.

Note: Before the candidate can proceed with the MOH license requisition, they must first have an employer link their application to the MOH licensing board.
