Criminal Background Checking

Ink and Paper Procedure

The ink and paper procedure is rolling the candidate’s fingers in ink and correctly printing them on fingerprint cards. There is a high risk of error when using this method, and it’s more likely to be rejected.

Electronic Scanning

Electronic methods of fingerprinting include Livescan and Cardscan. According to the FBI, electronic scanning, also known as Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS), allows fingerprint photos to be scanned and communicated immediately to local law enforcement agencies.

Further instructions will be provided to the candidate when completing the FBI cards.

Criminal Background Checking may be challenging due to numerous guidelines and a high risk of human error. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to seek support, especially our international healthcare candidates.
